As the Gunners attempt to snap a Premier League drought that dates back to 2003–04, Bukayo Saka thinks the Gunners’ depth could make the difference this season.
At the top of the table, Mikel Arteta’s team leads Bournemouth by four points, while its realistic title contenders, Manchester City and Liverpool, are six and seven points behind, respectively.
Arsenal have finished second for each of the past three seasons when injury concerns at times disrupted their title challenge.
However, after spending £250 million on eight acquisitions during the transfer window, Arteta now has access to a much larger pool of resources.
Saka is one of several Arsenal players who have already missed time due to injury this season, along with William Saliba, Kai Havertz, and Martin Odegaard.
However, Arteta’s team has won seven straight games across all competitions by relying on their prowess from set pieces and a strong defensive record.
“I think we have a lot of quality and are a really good bunch this year. The guys who have joined us have demonstrated that we can all maintain the top standard of play despite the numerous injuries we’ve already sustained,” Saka told Sky Sports.
“I think that’s where we’ve slipped off in a few seasons, but this season, we’ve got that and it’s making me really believe we can do it.”

Saka hopes to break England’s lengthy wait since 1966 to win a major competition at the World Cup, so next year might be a memorable one.
“I pray for that. Regarding the possibility of winning both the Premier League and the World Cup in 2026, he continued, “Of course it is doable.”
“If you don’t believe in something, you can’t actually do it. I think it’s feasible. Though it will undoubtedly not be simple, it is feasible.
Under Gareth Southgate, Saka was a member of the England team that lost two European Championship finals.
Following a perfect start to their qualification campaign since Thomas Tuchel took over, the Three Lions are the only European team to have qualified for the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico thus far.
Saka has expressed admiration for Tuchel and believes that his background playing at the top level of the club game with Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain will be crucial to England’s prospects.
“I think he is a top coach, tactical understanding and with people as well he is very demanding, he knows how to get the best out of the players I would say,” stated the 24-year-old.
“He has previously demonstrated that he is capable of winning at the greatest level and taking home the largest awards. He has also been in numerous finals, so he undoubtedly has the experience, and perhaps he can lead us to triumph.”
