After the Los Angeles Chargers’ victory against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night, the NFL season’s eighth week will include seven interconference games, three divisional games, and two AFC games!
This season, the NFC has dominated the AFC with a 25-14 record. Despite having a 3-1 record at the end of Week 7, they are having a difficult start as the Chargers defeated the Vikings.
The Detroit Lions, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, and Jacksonville Jaguars are among the teams taking a week off.
But without further ado, let’s dive right into the previews!
Don’t forget to see who our experts selected this week.
Falcons vs. Dolphins (-6.5)
The Falcons have won 58-41 overall in their last two home games. They now face a 1-6 Dolphins squad that only defeated the winless New York Jets by a margin of six points in their lone victory.
Atlanta has the second-best defense and the seventh-best offense. Following a 31-6 thumping by the Cleveland Browns, in which starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was benched for the first time this season, the Dolphins are in the bottom seven in both offense and defense.
At 44.5, the over-under is set.
Bengals vs. Jets (-6.5)
Both the Jets and the Bengals have defenses and offenses that finish in the bottom four. The Jets, who are at 0-7, are trying to avoid having the worst start in their history, which was 0-8 in the 1996 season, when they finished 1-15.
Last Thursday, Cinci scored the highest points of the season with 33 against the Steelers. Despite their dismal record, New York has held their opponents to only 13 points in their last two games.
At 44.5, the over/under is set.
Patriots vs. Browns (-6.5)
Despite having the best defense in the first seven weeks of the season, Cleveland has only managed two victories because of their lack of offensive production, save from running back Quinshon Judkins, who is a candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
With 181 points after seven weeks, New England leads the AFC in points. Drake Maye, our MVP tracker’s top quarterback, has now gone four weeks in a row without recording an interception.
At 40.5, the over/under is set.
Eagles vs. Giants (-7.5)
Two weeks after the Giants shocked the Eagles in primetime on Thursday, there comes a divisional rematch. The Eagles traveled to Minnesota and won, while New York would lose to the Broncos in the season’s biggest choke job.
Devonta Smith will be the Eagles’ top receiver as wide receiver A.J. Brown will not play in the game. Graham Gano, New York’s primary kicker, will return from injury this week.
At 43.5, the over-under is set.
Bills against. Panthers (-7.5)
Bryce Young, Carolina’s starting quarterback, is out for this game, thus seasoned backup Andy Dalton will start. Following Young’s injury, Dalton entered the game and went 4-for-7 for 60 yards in passing last week.
The Bills are coming off consecutive defeats to the Patriots and Falcons after beginning the season 4-0 and seemed to be strong Super Bowl candidates. The Bills won their next seven games after dropping their first two games of the previous season.
At 46.5, the over-under is set.
